Barefoot Roasters is a specialty coffee roasting company with a passion for producing the very best in fresh roasted coffee. Continuously creating blends and roasting single origin coffee, we roast only the very best quality beans. We are dedicated to high quality and fair trade with beans roasted with care and hand packaged with love.

Blend II is our main blend of coffee, winning awards in the Golden Bean 2013, a national coffee roasting competition. Rodney also made it to the top 10 roasters in overall Golden Bean.

Coffee is our passion. Only using premium grade beans, from the best coffee producing regions.

Who we are

The Barefoot Coffee Roaster

Rodney is head roaster and owner with 12 years experience in the coffee roasting industry and 37 years in the hospitality industry working in hotels, restaurants and cafes. Learning to roast at Di Bella Coffee Roasting Warehouse in Sydney under the tuition of passionate and expert coffee roasters, Rodney has a natural talent for coffee roasting and uses a Probat Roaster to get the very best out of the beans.

Opening up Barefoot Brew Room in Byron Bay in November 2012, owners Dawn and Rodney work together to bring fresh roasted coffee to their cafe as well as directly to customers and wholesalers.

We source only the best quality coffee directly from South America and some of the best coffee producing regions in the world working directly with farmers and trusted partners.

We roast a variety of single origin coffee for pour over, batch brew and for our wholesale and retail customers. This allows us to taste different beans and come up with new blends. These are offered at different prices depending on the country of origin, availability and quality of the beans. We source direct trade coffee where possible and use trusted distributors to source fair trade coffee.
